We'll continue exploring different foods and cultures from around the world. This week we'll bake some easy homemade pizzas. On Thursday, 11/29, we'll make salt dough for practice. Then teams will rotate turns making pizzas on Friday, 11/30, and Monday, 12/3.

The ratio of most rice dishes is 2 parts water or broth to 1 part rice.
2:1 (Liquid : Rice) So 2 cups water for 1 cup rice. That makes about four - 1/2 cup servings. Add herbs, spices, vegetables, and even raisins to jazz up your rice dishes. We actually made four kinds of rice this week. Use parchment paper or aluminum foil for easier cleanup. This week we'll be in the kitchens on Thursday (11/8).
We'll mix and bake seasonal pumpkin bread on Thursday (11/8) and eat it on Friday (11/9). |
